Composition

· Active Substance: Streptomycin Sulfate
Concentration: 200 mg/ml (equivalent to 200,000 IU/ml)

· Presentation: Sterile yellow-brown solution in a 100 ml amber glass vial.

2. Indications

Treatment of Gram-negative bacterial infections in:

· Cattle: Bacterial pneumonia (e.g., Pasteurella), colibacillosis, metritis

· Swine: Enteritis (E. coli), porcine respiratory disease complex (PRDC)

· Sheep/Goats: Contagious caprine pleuropneumonia (CCPP), mastitis

3. Contraindications & Warnings

· ▲ DO NOT USE IN HORSES (risk of fatal colitis).

· ▲ Hypersensitivity to aminoglycosides.

· ▲ Avoid in dehydrated animals or those with renal impairment.

· ⚠️ Administration Route: Intramuscular (IM) only. Never administer intravenously.

· ️ Residue Warning: Strictly observe withdrawal periods.

4. Dosage & Administration

· Max. Injection Volume/Site: 20 ml per site in adult cattle/swine.

· Rotate injection sites between doses.

· Common: Injection site swelling/pain.

· Serious:

· ▲ Nephrotoxicity (increased thirst, decreased urine output).

· ▲ Ototoxicity (loss of balance, head tilting).

· Neuromuscular blockade (muscle weakness, respiratory distress).

7. Storage & Handling

· Unopened Vial: Store at 15-25°C. Protect from light.

· Opened Vial: Use within 28 days. Discard if discolored or precipitated.

· Keep out of reach of children.
